Piedmont Driving Club to Host Lapham Grant Competition in 2012

The PDC will host the annual cross-border Lapham Grant competition for the second time in 2012. The deep history and tradition surrounding this singles and doubles competition with Canada first started in 1922 in Boston with the inaugural Lapham Cup. It is the oldest international competition between Canada and the United States. Those who have participated in the past, perhaps at the Driving Club when they hosted in 2003, will personally attest to the excitement and comradeship that these matches generate. There is no greater thrill in squash than sipping champagne from the cherished victor's cup, which the U.S. did that weekend.
